Assembly And Experimentation

Crafting, how amazing success works for both assembly and experimentation, and how to avoid critical fails City bonus and chef food/drink make a difference in determining if you get an "amazing success" or not. In fact, they are the only bonuses you get to the roll for determining an "amazing". In both Assembly and Experimentation, there is an initial roll to determine if you get an "amazing" or a "critical failure" this is often called the "Luck Roll". A random number is generated from 1-100. If it is >95 then you get an "amazing", if it is <5 you get a "critical failure" In Assembly, you get a bonus of +10 if you are in a Manufacturing Center and the value o…

[glow=red]Stats, caps, and explanations of them[/glow] [glow=green]Defenses[/glow] There are 3 types of defenses in SWG. Primary, Secondary and State defenses. Primary and Secondary defenses max/cap at 125 when skills are combined with SEAs. State defenses such as Dizzy, etc have no cap. [glow=green]Cap Explanation[/glow] The cap that applies to Primary and Secondary defenses (125) is not applied until after pre-ceeding combat calculations such as states and associated defenses take place, vs before where it was applied much earlier in previous publishes. For example, if you have Melee Defense of 155 through template skills and +25 from SEA ma…

[align=center]Lunariel's Guide to Resource Caps [/align] (As originally posted in 2005) Every weaponsmith knows that conductivity on Plumbum Iron is horrible, never exceeding two digits. The reason is that Iron has 8 subclasses. In fact, they are just like radioactive and petrochemicals, just with a more fancy name. So Plumbum is really Iron Class 1. And for most of the resource types with subclasses, the stats are capped within a limited range depending on the class. The formula is simply to divide the base range by the number of subclasses and then extend the resulting range by 30% in each direction like this: MinCap = ROUND(MAX(BaseMin,BaseMin+(ClassLevel-1…

How to run multiple instances of the game client Location and creation Go into your Star Wars Galaxies subdirectory (/C:/Program Files/Star Wars Galaxies by default). Make a user.cfg file (in notepad) This means, make a text file put the lines below in it then save it and rename it to user.cfg ( you must have extensions visible on. Add these lines to the user.cfg file [swgClient] allowMultipleInstances=true It should be noted in the "swgemu.cfg" file, and the whateverserver.cfg the line .include "user.cfg" may be commented out. In order to undo this change the line that says #.include "user.cfg" needs to be changed to .include "user.cfg…

How to single pull
by eqsanctum- 1 follower
- 1.7k views
The first thing to understand is when one would want to single pull, and why. The answer to "when" is; all the time. Why? Simple math.. every player can deal a fixed average amount of damage per second to creatures, so the amount of time it takes to kill two creatures with a total of 10,000 hit points is fixed, whether you fight them separately, or at the same time. Lets say for the sake of this exercise it takes 1 minutes, 40 seconds to kill the two creatures. That's 100 seconds of combat in which we deal 10,000 hit points of damage, so we dish out 10 damage per second. Generally, creatures deal out much more damage than we do. So lets say that each creature can deal 20 …

How to milk a lair
by eqsanctum- 1 follower

- 2.2k views
Ok. I've seen alot of people explain how to milk a lair over the past few months. While the way they do it works to a degree, They are shorting themselves 9240 xp each and every time. Some even short themselves about 20790 xp. (Per 2 missions). I need to also suggest that you have at least xx4x Lightsaber with some type of healing if you try this. Sometimes trackers can get the best of even Master Lightsaber Jedi due to the AOE attacks not being AOE due to a bug in the game where too many dead bodies neuter the attack. So some type of healing is very very helpful in those cases. So here it goes. Lairs "Pops": For those that don't know, mission lairs have 3 spa…

consolidated profession tips

Ok, here's the consolidation from the massive Profession Grind thread, as well as a couple of other threads. Feel free to correct me where I am wrong. Note, I do not list required resources here. Assume that they will be hefty for any crafting grind . Artisan: Survey line is easily macroable. Popups are annoying however. Grind to Engineer 3 on survey tools and then grind the rest of the xp on personal harvestors. Brawler: Use one of the many unattended macros in a newbie area. For unarmed, always use Vibros with a very low speed to improve your attacks. Entertainer: Have a friend/alt account with basic Medic use /tend as much as possible to generate h…

Weapons PUPs And Slicing

Powerups is frustrating to craft because they have totally random(well almost) rolls and uses. So crating one you think is worth selling can be frustrating as you often have to do 100s of crafting attempts to get what you want. This guide will show the meaning of the powerup names and explain what each "stat" does. When you craft a powerup it will roll one of the specific powerups primary stats, then on experimentation it has a chance to add secondary stats to the powerup. Uses are rolled randomly and resources does not affect the amount of uses on the crafted powerup. Resource Quality: Powerups need Overall Quality (OQ). Resources Used: Metal & Chemical …
