Themeparks/Quests

-> Planet: Endor

-> Location: Marauder Stronghold - Various Huts (-4628, -2273)

-> Item Name: Marauder Armour

This Armour is obtained through completing the the Marauder Quests (The armour is obtained via completing the Marauder King's Missions). Having done the first two missions for the Nightsister the difficulty apears prety easy to moderate with only the occasional advanced strafe from the marauders (i got hit for 2.3k in one shot) and some moderate bleeds causing problems.

-> Planet: Tatooine

-> Location: Jabba Themepark - Unknown WP and Quest Giver

-> Item Name: Featherweight FWG5 Pistol Schematic (With 3 Skill Mods)

Not much is known about this quest at present so expect an update on this. I havn't been to jabbas palace in a long time. The 'Featherweight' version of the FWG5 is an enhanced weapon featuring 3 +5 skill mods (CounterAttack, Dodge and Pistol Accuracy). It is unknown if experimentation effects these mods but they are a BIG addition. Oh and also i have read that the gun can be enhanced using Nym Feed Mechanisms so sounds good.

-> Planet: Tatooine

-> Location: Mos Entha - Unknown WP and Quest Giver (Most Likely Geonosian)

-> Item Name: 2hd Geonosian Scythe Schematic

This schematic is obtained from a Mos Entha quest giver and according to the 'buzz', the weapon is prety good. Details on this weapon are surfacing more everyday but are hard to come by as it is only available on TC. Ill keep you updated on this.

-> Planet: Yavin4

-> Location: Former Temple Of Exar K'un - Luke Skywalker Quest

-> Item Name: Luke's Modified Rebublic Blaster Schematic (DOT)

Ill update this quest once i gather details on it, but from what ive already found is that it is the reward for completing the luke skywalker themepark quest and has 3 uses. From what i understand it has slightly higher damage and a DOT feature. The DOT is a bleeding health shot that lasts for 100s, has a potency of 75%, 9000 uses and 105 (possibly experimentable) strength.

-> Planet: Unknown

-> Location: Imperial Themepark - Unknown NPC (Some of you must know the location)

-> Item Name: Light E11 Carbine Schematic

Hard to find any details on this quest reward but from the data files of the publish 6 patch there's a rifle_light_blaster_e11_carbine_quest file indicating its coming and from the 'buzz' it comes from an imperial themepark quest. Once again ill keep you updated, remember all these items items arnt live yet so be patient :P

Welcome to Emotemaster's Ultimate Loot Guide that is sure to be much longer than my fingers want it to be. (Sorry about some of it being double-spaced! Stupid forums ). Please let me know if you spot an error, one of my pleas for help, or if you don't see a MOB or NPC (That you know drops good loot) on my list!

There are going to be 2 sections:

I. What you need

II. What to kill, and where to find it

t

Now, sit back, relax, and please do not stand up until the house lights come on.

Part One: What you need

First of all, you need to have a template, if you don't already have one. I personally suggest swordsman, because you have a high damage output, good defense, and almost nothing in the game is 100% resist to you. TKM and fencer are about tied for last place in this guide, but if you can't live without them, you can try (Tons of kinetic and stun resist on high level MOBs, not to mention low to horrid damage output). On that note, it will be extremely dificult to solo anything besides gun-toting NPCs without a tank.

I'm not going to go into template advice in this post, mainly because there are an average of 5,432,093 posts about templates on every combat profession forum. So hop over there and do a quick search or browse a little bit. However, I have two suggestions. Master Brawler. Not only do you get intimidate 2 and warcry 2, but you also get very valuable Speed and Accuracy mods. Medic. So you can use stims. Very handy. I'll let you decide how much you want to getThis is all I'm going to say on the subject of templates at this time...

Supplies:

You will need various supplies if you even dream about succeding in your quest of becoming a Loot **self-edit**

The absolutely most required you can't fight a durni without them have a R in front of it.

R 4 Piece Suit [Helmet, Chestplate, Gloves, Boots] of 80%+ Kinetic Composite Armor (If you can get good Base resists, that's good for NS and other NPCs)

R Crate of Vasarian Brandy, Preferably 400+ for over 45 minutes

R Weapon

RF A little patience

R Vehicle (preferably Swoop, get a few if you can just in case one gets destroyed)

R Enough Credits for buffs

R Crates of Stimpacks (highest you can use)

* Canapes and Systeak

* Uberest weapon ever seen in the game

All right.. You're ready to start huntin'!

Part Two: What to kill, and where to find it

Colored messages in game

The syntax of a chat tag is as follows:

\#RRGGBB message

Please note: The space after the color code is needed for the message to be properly formatted. It might produce an acceptable result without, but this is the proper syntax.

This hidden tag is the default color tag, which can be symbolized as one of the following aliases:

\#pcontrast0

\#.

Both are synonymous with one another, and can be used at any point in your message to return the message back to its original color.

Including Color in Your Message

Now that you are aware of how messages are initially setup, you can focus on adding color. Let's take a look at three examples. In the following code blocks, you will see what you would type in your chat window and below it will show the result which would be displayed.

Example 1:

Code:

Hey \#ff0000 Bob\#.. Do you know where Coronet is?

Hey Bob. Do you know where Coronet is?

Example 2:

Code:

Hey \#ff0000 Bob\#.. Do you know where \#00ff00 Coronet\#. is?

Hey Bob. Do you know where Coronet is?

Example 3:

Code:

Hey \#ff0000 Bob\#.. \#ffff00 Do you know where \#00ff00 Coronet \#ffff00 is\#.?

Hey Bob. Do you know where Coronet is?

Some special cases of color codes:

\#pcontrast0 and \#. - Default chat color

\#pcontrast1 - A greenish color which SOE often used to indicate an okay status.

\#pcontrast2 - A reddish/orange color with SOE often used to indicate an incorrect or erroneous status.

\#pcontrast3 - Pure white. Can be used in system messages.

\#pcontrast4 - A tealish color. Unsure when this was used.

These special cases are used in the same way as above, but instead of an RRGGBB value, you use a pcontrastn value.

More on RRGGBB Color Codes

The RRGGBB is a hexadecimal unsigned integer mask representing the combinations of Red, Green, and Blue needed to create the color of your desire. Various resources can be found with Google with more information on this. Just note that RR = the hexadecimal equivalent amount of Red, GG = Green, BB = Blue.

Also, please be aware, by using the correct format, the system messages which appear in your chat window will most likely not contain the color, but the chat bubbles which appear overhead will. This also works for house signs and custom named items/structures.

Note: Color showing up in chat window is actually a bug when this system is parsed incorrectly, resulting from an improperly formatted message. SOE never intended for their users to figure out how to use color in messages, and thus did not add in validation.

GRAPHICS

  • Game Resolution

This option allows the user to specify different screen resolutions for running the game in full-screen mode, and specify different window sizes for running the game in windowed mode. Also allowed is the selection of different refresh rates per resolution. In windowed mode, however, the refresh rate will be determined by your Windows settings.

  • Vertex/Pixel Shader Version

If your graphics hardware supports them, vertex and pixel shaders are used to improve graphic quality. This option allows the user to scale down graphics quality to gain performance. Vertex and pixel shaders can also be disabled, giving the user the lowest possible graphics quality settings.

  • Windowed Mode

Select this option to run the game in a window.

  • Borderless Window

Select this option to remove the border when running the game in a window.

  • Disable Bump Mapping

At the expense of render performance, the engine will use vertex and pixel shaders to improve the surfaces of most objects. You must have vertex and pixel shaders enabled to see bump mapping. If bump mapping is disabled, vertex and pixel shaders will still be used (assuming they've been enabled with Vertex/Pixel Shader Version, above); however, most of the surface detail will be lost.

  • Disable Hardware Mouse Cursor

If your graphics hardware supports it, the hardware mouse cursor will be set to default. Using the hardware mouse cursor will improve the speed the mouse renders. If the hardware mouse cursor is disabled, the mouse will update along with the game's frame rate.

  • Use Low Detail Textures

Select this option for lower-quality textures.

  • Use Low Detail Normal Maps

Select this option for lower-quality bump maps (surface detail).

  • Disable Multi-Pass Rendering

Many of the game's graphics effects take multiple passes drawing the object multiple times. Turn this option off to improve render performance at the expense of visual quality.

  • Disable Vsync (allow tearing)

Disabling vsync will cause the game not to wait for your monitor's refresh in order to draw the next frame. With this disabled, you may see tearing lines across the screen; but the game should not be capped at your monitor's refresh rate.

  • Disable Fast Mouse Cursor

By default, there is an optimal path for rendering the mouse cursor. On some hardware, this introduces problems. If the mouse cursor does not appear correctly, select this option.

  • Use Safe Renderer (slower)

We recently introduced two additional code paths for rendering the game: optimal vertex and pixel shaders, optimal vertex and pixel shaders disabled; and the original code path the game originally tested and shipped with. If you notice any problems with the optimal render paths, select this option at the expense of optimal performance.

SOUND

  • Disable Audio

Use this option to completely disable the game's audio.

  • Miles Provider

Use this option to select different sound modes if your audio hardware supports them.

GAME

  • Skip Intro Sequence

Use this option to disable the game's intro movie.

  • Disable Character System Level Of Detail Manager

By default, the character system will attempt to render only the first n skeletal system objects with the highest level of detail, the next n + n at the next level of detail, and so on until the remaining objects are all at the lowest levels of detail. Disabling this option will allow all skeletal system objects to render at their highest possible level of detail based on various metrics (which can be controlled via the in-game options menu).

ADVANCED

  • Disable World Preloading

The game will attempt to cache between 500 and 1000 planet-specific files in the first loading screen you see for a new planet. This allows us to not have to hit the disk when walking around the game and an asset is needed. Selecting this option will allow you to get in the game faster, but at the cost of decreased I/O performance.

  • Use Low Detail Characters

Select this option to skip the first detail level in any character system object. This will allow you to run faster at the cost of decreased visual quality.

  • Use Low Detail Meshes

Select this option to skip the first detail level in any static mesh object. This will allow you to run faster at the cost of decreased visual quality.

  • Disable Texture Baking

The game will create a single texture for most of the textures in the game made up from composite textures. In a future release, we will attempt to provide a fallback texture in the even the graphics hardware does not support this feature; however, for now, you will see the default texture (which looks like a green forest).

  • Disable File Caching

The game will attempt to cache between 10000 and 40000 non-planet specific files in the first loading screen you see. This allows us to not have to hit the disk when walking around the game and an asset is needed. Selecting this option will allow you to get in the game faster, but at the cost of decreased I/O performance.

  • Disable Asynchronous Loader

By default, the game will use a background thread to load assets as the player walks around in an attempt to eliminate stuttering when an asset is needed and must be fetched off of disk. Disabling this will severely impact performance, but may be helpful in an environment where true multi-tasking is not supported.
