[glow=red]Stats, caps, and explanations of them[/glow] [glow=green]Defenses[/glow] There are 3 types of defenses in SWG. Primary, Secondary and State defenses. Primary and Secondary defenses max/cap at 125 when skills are combined with SEAs. State defenses such as Dizzy, etc have no cap. [glow=green]Cap Explanation[/glow] The cap that applies to Primary and Secondary defenses (125) is not applied until after pre-ceeding combat calculations such as states and associated defenses take place, vs before where it was applied much earlier in previous publishes. For example, if you have Melee Defense of 155 through template skills and +25 from SEA ma…

RT 1: THE HERMIT If you want to start these series of quests, you must first talk to the hermit located at 10 -218 on Tatooine, at the bottom of the squill cave. Hermit The hermit talks about how we live in some dark times with the Empire ruling the galaxy. Take a stand. After he talks for a bit, you have 2 responses. One makes you stand up for the Empire, the other makes you agrees with the old man. If you support the Empire (not faction wise) he's done talking with you. If you agree with him, he talks about how the world is in need of heroes to bring light to this darkened time. He says that if your going to be a true hero you must bear the ma…

[align=center]Lunariel's Guide to Resource Caps [/align] (As originally posted in 2005) Every weaponsmith knows that conductivity on Plumbum Iron is horrible, never exceeding two digits. The reason is that Iron has 8 subclasses. In fact, they are just like radioactive and petrochemicals, just with a more fancy name. So Plumbum is really Iron Class 1. And for most of the resource types with subclasses, the stats are capped within a limited range depending on the class. The formula is simply to divide the base range by the number of subclasses and then extend the resulting range by 30% in each direction like this: MinCap = ROUND(MAX(BaseMin,BaseMin+(ClassLevel-1…

Powerups is frustrating to craft because they have totally random(well almost) rolls and uses. So crating one you think is worth selling can be frustrating as you often have to do 100s of crafting attempts to get what you want. This guide will show the meaning of the powerup names and explain what each "stat" does. When you craft a powerup it will roll one of the specific powerups primary stats, then on experimentation it has a chance to add secondary stats to the powerup. Uses are rolled randomly and resources does not affect the amount of uses on the crafted powerup. Resource Quality: Powerups need Overall Quality (OQ). Resources Used: Metal & Chemical …

Hopefully this will help everyone since I have the nice edit button and can keep all the waypoint information on the first pages. I'm also going to work on getting the (POI) changed to a waypoint as well. Be sure to look at the links page at the bottom of this post for more additional information. Under links I will have a MAPS part setup as well. IMPORTANT: LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE ASKED Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU TAKE? A: A GROUP OF 10 IS THE MAX YOU CAN TA…

2. What race should I choose? This is one of the most frequently asked questions on the forums. The answer really comes down to personal choice (especially if you are a role-player). All of the races have positive and negative aspects, and you will find on these forums that there are TK Masters in every possible race. If you want to play as a Twi'lek, don't let the starting racial bonuses force you into playing a Trandoshan. Also keep in mind that if you plan on joining the Imperial side of the Galactic Civil War, that all non-human races suffer faction point penalties. Here are some details on the races (note t…

Fat’s Own; Guide to Artisanship! Introduction This is how I grinded through the entire Artisan tree in less than 4 hours (minus surveying). I felt I would share it with everyone who was interested in a quick and efficient way to get through the basic Artisan profession trees. Listed below are the minimum total resources required for this grind. The EXPERIENCE REWARD tree shows how much experience said item grants you. The EXPERIENCE TOTAL THIS SKILL branch shows how much it requires to train in said skill. The RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS branch shows the resources required to craft said item, and finally, the RESOURCE TOTAL THESE ITEMS branch shows how many of said re…

Table of Contents Introduction Terms Usage Slash Command Shortcuts Chaining macros and recursion Character Login Useful commands [updated as need arises] Introduction When the player database is wiped – all of us will have to start over. In the interest of lessening the pain I offer the following guide on /alias commands – which will make character rebirth much easier. Alias commands are often thought of as a form of macro commands in SWG. While this is not precisely true knowledge of macro commands is essential in understanding much of what is possible with aliases. There are many posts on macros and lists of all the slash commands th…

NOTE: I am currently fixing this guide as of 5/19/19. When site upgrades were done the coding changed\broke some items on the guide. I am going thru the guide, and correcting these issues. Introduction Hello Everyone, When I got back into playing SWG via the EMU I started to wonder if there was a way to improve the graphical, and audio experience of my game without sacrificing the original experience I had with it. My search for modifications, and anything to improve my client started. Although I was finding all sorts of files to help me with this, the biggest issue I had was the fact that none…

How power works

[glow=red]How Power Works[/glow] [glow=green]Use[/glow] Energy is needed for power factories and harvesters. While every structure consumes credits in maintenance, power is only consumed while the factory or harvester is operating The stat that matters for power generation is Potential Energy or PE [glow=green]What is NOT power[/glow] “Solid Petrochem Fuel” Weaponsmiths and Droid Engineers have use for it “Liquid Petrochem Fuel” is not power. Combat Medics use this for poisons, and Class 2/4 are used by Doctors for buffs The Bazaar adds to the confusion since Gas is listed as a form of ‘energy’ though nothing in the title of reac…

Guide To Dressing And Undressing Your Vendor

- 1.6k views
Dressing & Undressing your vendors Wookiee vendors cannot equip weapons or Wookiee Smocks. And Bodysuits can no longer be put on vendors.(needs testing) Preliminary note: A smock will completely undress a female vendor, and a frock will undress a male vendor. These will not remove shoes or hats, however. Removing gloves/bracers Put long gloves on your vendor, if it is wearing short gloves. Put jacket on your vendor. Gloves go poof. For wookiees, an armor chestplate would work (if wookiees would wear chestplates, which they do not currently.) The luxurious gown will remove gloves on females. Removing male vendor shirts Put smock on v…

Artisan Foods For Grinding

Artisan foods are generally thought of as borederline useless and the only foods that are worthwhile are hyper-expensive and come from the master chef. Well that's not accurate. This post's purpose is to bring to your attention the often-overlooked Artisan foods that are easy to produce well and offer a real benefit to the combat leveling process. There are certainly Artisan foods that are clearly in-game as stepping stones or 'slot fillers' to give the Artisan some variety in their choices as they work their way through the Artisan skill boxes. There are others that are of real benefit, and that's what we want to consider. I'll start the discussion with Crispic. …
