[glow=red]Complete Entertainer FAQ[/glow]

[glow=green]Can i be a master of everything in the entertainer line?[/glow]

  • Yes you can! Profession calculators are wrong, you can master Music+Dance+ID+Entertainer no problem

[glow=green]What is the best race for entertaining?[/glow]

  • Currently humans are considered the best entertainers
  • Humans are the only race presently that can, after stat migration, buff continuously without the need for food

[glow=green]Do i need to be in a group?[/glow]

  • No currently group XP bonus is not live, however being in a group has its advantages as you share healing XP which you need.

[glow=green]How do i Buff?[/glow]

  • 2 ways. You can have someone join your group and they can watch/listen to you (the specific stat for buffing is Mind Enhancement (dancing+music). Or you can have them watch+listen to you and you can /setpreform with them selected.

[glow=green]How does the buff work?[/glow]

  • Musician and Dancer buffs are percentage based on their respective pools
  • The buffs use the modifier "mind enhancement" dancer or "mind enhancement" musician
  • Before SEA's a dancer or musician can buff the respective mind pools 100% of the total number IE: if you have 1000 mind and a 100% mind buff you will have 2000 mind for the buff duration

[glow=green]Whats a tick and how do i get the most out of it?[/glow]

  • A tick is 10 seconds. You need to 'flourish' at least once during each tick to get xp. flourishing twice a tick will get you max XP per tick. (see xp guide and macro's for more details)

[glow=green]Can i place ID tents in Player Cities?[/glow]

  • No this is not implemented

[glow=green]I cant ID/ID is stuck/Etc[/glow]

  • If you cant open your ID hit /decline or /ui action defaultButton . If these do not work then try taking a shuttle to another city. You can also try softlogging (shuttle usually works best)

[glow=green]My crafting keeps getting stuck or gives errors![/glow]

  • Make sure you have enough crafting tools to keep up. Hit escape a bunch of times. Make sure your macros are not too long.

[glow=green]Can people get both music+dance buffs at the same time?[/glow]

  • Yes! Have them join a group with a dancer+musician. Listen to the musician first then dancer. It will apply both buffs at the same time! (you need a musician and a dancer for this)

[glow=green]Do i need to /flo for buffs?[/glow]

  • Yes. The more you flourish the faster the buff will be applied. If you set it to /pause 1; then you can buff someone a full duration buff in 2 minutes or less.

[glow=green]How do I do a stat migration?[/glow]

  • Doing a StatMigration takes a minimum of 4 minutes.
  • You cannot Stat-Migrate yourself.
  • You must be group with someone to migrate their stats
  • You must have all Damage+Wounds+Fatigue healed before you can Stat-Migrate (make sure your client has healed up 100%).
  • You can change your stats by opening your character sheet.
  • There is a 'Stat Migration' button in the bottom right.
  • This does not change them until a Novice ID or greater takes you to a tent and secures them.

[glow=green]Where can Entertainers practice their art?[/glow]

  • Wound Healing and buffs can only be given in Cantinas, Hotels, Theaters, Taverns, Player Houses, and all Camps. Battle Fatigue CAN NOT be healed in a camp.
  • At least one of these performance venues can be found in every NPC city, and many have two or even three performance venues.

[td][glow=green]Camp Type[/glow][/td] [td][glow=purple]Medical Rating[/glow][/td] [td][glow=purple]Health/Action Wound Regeneration Rate[/glow][/td] [td][glow=purple]Entertainer Buff Rating[/glow][/td]

[td]High Tech Field Base Kit[/td] [td]100[/td] [td]100[/td] [td]100[/td]

[glow=purple]What about player owned buildings?[/glow]

  • Entertainers can heal (and buff) in player owned Cantinas, houses and Theaters in player cities.

[glow=purple]Are there venues for Image Designers?[/glow]

  • Image Designers may only perform stat migrations from inside an ID tent

[glow=purple]When can I place my own Cantina?[/glow]

  • Master Dancer, Master Musician, or Master Chef
  • level 2 city (Village) or above

[glow=purple]When can I place my own Theater?[/glow]

  • Master Dancers and Master Musicians
  • level 4 cities (City) or above

[glow=purple]What will happen to my Cantina or Theater if the city goes away?[/glow]

  • Your structure will remain as normal
  • if you redeed you will have to find another city

[glow=purple]What will happen to my Cantina or Theater if I drop Master Dancer, Master Musician, or Master Chef?[/glow]

  • Your structure will remain as normal
  • You will not be able to place the structure again if you redeed it.

[glow=purple]How can I prevent someone from using my passive healing services?[/glow]

  • /denyservice will prevent someone from receiving benefits from you
  • /denyservice is a toggle.
  • If you use it once on a person, when you use it again, the name will be removed from the list.
  • Your /denyservice list is clean at each login.

[glow=purple]What are band commands?[/glow]

  • /bandflourish (1-8)
  • /startband
  • /stopband
  • /changebandmusic (song)
  • /bandflourish will work for both Dancers and Musicians
  • Musicians can /bandflourish (1-8) (instrument) and cause only people using that instrument to perform the flourish
  • /startband, /stopband, and /changebandmusic only work with equipped instruments.

[glow=purple]How do I gain Dance XP efficiently?[/glow]

  • dance your highest-level dance
  • flourish twice per XP tic (~10 seconds)

[glow=purple]How do I gain Music XP efficiently?[/glow]

  • play your highest-level song and your highest-level instrument
  • flourish twice per XP tic (~10 seconds)
  • music XP can be gained by crafting instruments
  • crafting instruments currently gives much higher experience returns then playing music

[glow=purple]How do I gain Image Design XP efficiently?[/glow]

  • Find someone to ID you'll double your XP.
  • For the first two boxes of ID, your best XP will come from changing hairstyles
  • After that eye color
  • Then do body changes

[glow=purple]How do I gain Entertainer Healing XP efficiently?[/glow]

  • Group with a master dancer wearing bio clothes with +25 wound healing (dance)
  • Get 3 medics to "tend damage" on you
  • Have them all watch the master dancer
  • You should receive upwards of 100-300 healing experience per tick

[glow=purple]Where do I find Entertainer Missions?[/glow]

  • Entertainer Mission Terminals.

[glow=purple]How do I get a mission from a terminal?[/glow]

  • select the proper tab (Dance or Music) depending on what type of performance you want to do. Default is dance.

[glow=purple]How do I complete my mission?[/glow]

  • Go inside the building by the waypoint
  • Perform for about 10 minutes, non-stop.
  • Flourishes do not matter

[glow=purple]Can I take more than one mission?[/glow]

  • two at a time
  • If you take both missions for the same location, they will complete within a few seconds of one another

[glow=purple]My mission won't complete. What's wrong?[/glow]

  • You must be inside the building indicated by the waypoint
  • Standing on the waypoint will not work
  • Make sure you're using the correct performance.
  • All Entertainer missions picture a Nalargon,
  • all Entertainer missions say "Dancer"
  • Sometimes you can tell from the mission's text whether you should be dancing or playing music
  • Sometimes even that will not work
  • The easiest way to avoid this problem is to make sure you choose the correct type of mission from the terminal.

First, "wounds" are the black you see on your HAM bars. Some special attacks from NPCs & players will wound you, or you get wounds from death when you do not have cloning data set. The wounds mean your total available stat of that type is reduced by the amount of the wound.

Secondly, Battle Fatigue (BF) is incurred via normal combat play in small amounts, however the longer you are out, the larger the number gets. This will start having an impact on how efficient your special attacks are in HAM usage (the more BF you have, the more HAM your specials cost, and the less efficient your heals become). Dying w/o having cloning data set causes a large amount of BF.

Cloning Data

If you set specific cloning data using a terminal in a cloning center, when you die, you will have the option to go to your pre-designated clone location. If you do NOT set the data, you can choose to go to the closest cloning center or any other on your current planet, BUT, you will incur large BF and wounding if you do. IF you use a pre-designated center, you will not be wounded or get BF at all.

Wound Healing (Health & Action)

The fast way to heal Health & Action wounds is to visit a player doctor, however they may ask you to get your BF healed first (because if you have high levels of BF, it makes their heals less efficient, costing them more crafted wound packs)

If no doctor is present you may sit in an Medical Center and you will heal automatically, albeit sort of slow. You can make sure you heal faster by removing your armor and unequpping you weapon, as encumbrances slows down regeneration.

Auto-healing only works in designated Medical Centers, it does NOT work outside or in camps. Doctors & Entertainers may heal wounds while in a camp (but the camp is required).

Wound Healing (Mind)

The fastest way to heal this is to watch a player entertainer perform. If no player entertainer is present, then you may sit in a designated Cantina and you mind wounds will heal automatically. (again take armor off to remove encumbrance and heal faster).

Battle Fatigue Healing

There is only ONE way to heal this, and that is by watching a player entertainer perform. and you will need to get it healed or suffer inefficiencies in combat due to chronic fatigue (which will get you killed and earn you even more BF)

You may heal BF & Mind Wounds simultaneously.

Entertainer Grind based On Efficiency

What you need

A Combat Medic

Mind Disease (Combat Medics want to make thier Mind Disease with the longest DURATION possble. Strength does not matter)

a Duel

How it works

The Combat medic steps far away in the cantina and unequips his/her weapon.

He/she then starts a duel with the Entertainer

Then he/she throws a Mind Disease on the Entertainer.(NOT MIND POISON!!!!!)

The Entertainer and or Combat Medic then /endsduel after the Entertainer is Diseased.

It's Important that the Combat Medic unequips any weapon so as to not 1 shot the Entertainer.

Make sure to be out of melee range.

Mind Disease CAN NOT kill you. It can fill your entire mind bar up black but it won't kill you.

The Entertainer needs to stop any macros at this point.

The Entertainer needs to then Watch or listen to someone else in thier group. Preferably the person with the highest level in Wound healing and BE clothing.

MAKE SURE that your character is clapping before you start to play or dance. If they are not clapping then you are not getting your wounds healed and you are not getting any healing exp.

Everyone in the group will get the same exp.

You will fill all 4 entertainer boxes in about 3-5 minutes if all the people in the group are mind diseased.

All the Dance and Music Healing and Fatigue boxes should take a few hours to fill up.

Go up the Wound Healing Line in Dance or Music first as it will give you more exp when trying to fill the other boxes.

What to use at what point

For Ent Music line, play best song with Slyth (improved instrument doesn't help XP here)

For Ent Dance line until Dancer xx1x, just do best dance

Go get M. Ent to save yourself at least 2 hours including the time to level ID4

At M. Ent, switch to Ceremonial with Mandoviol (18exp instead of 14 from StarWars3)

At Nov Musician, switch to StarWars4 with Traz or Mandoviol (20 instead of 18)

At Musician xx2x, switch to StarWars4 with Bandfill (28 instead of 26)

At Musician xx3x, switch to StarWars4 with Chidinkalu (32 instead of 30)

At Musician xx4x, switch to *any song* with Omni OR Jazz with any instrument (34)

At M. Ent, switch to Footloose2/Formal2 (36 instead of 28 from Formal)

At Dancer xx1x, switch to Tumble (60 vs 44 from Popular2)

At Dancer xx2x, switch to Tumble2 (68 vs 52 from Poplock2)

At Dancer xx3x, keep Tumble2 (68 vs 60/44 from Lyrical/Breakdance)

At Dancer xx4x, keep Tumble 2 or switch to Exotic, Exotic2 (68 vs 52 from Breakdance2). Exotic lets you stay still, which makes healing easier.

Image Designer Macros

Macro Set - Kybia Example

With this macro you will be able to grind from novice ID up to master in about 20 minutes.

HINT: Use an alt as you get double xp if you 'experiment' on someone other than yourself.

The Image Designer macro:

/tar
;

/image;

/pause 2;

/ui action defaultButton;

/pause 2;

/macro ;

--------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------

Alt or Target macro:

/ui action defaultButton;

/pause 1.5;

/macro ;

--------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------

All you need to do is pick one of the attributes to change. I started with hair color, then went up the body building tree, and changed height. You get more xp with body change attributes vs hair color.
