NOTE: I am currently fixing this guide as of 5/19/19. When site upgrades were done the coding changed\broke some items on the guide. I am going thru the guide, and correcting these issues. Introduction Hello Everyone, When I got back into playing SWG via the EMU I started to wonder if there was a way to improve the graphical, and audio experience of my game without sacrificing the original experience I had with it. My search for modifications, and anything to improve my client started. Although I was finding all sorts of files to help me with this, the biggest issue I had was the fact that none…

[glow=red]Stats, caps, and explanations of them[/glow] [glow=green]Defenses[/glow] There are 3 types of defenses in SWG. Primary, Secondary and State defenses. Primary and Secondary defenses max/cap at 125 when skills are combined with SEAs. State defenses such as Dizzy, etc have no cap. [glow=green]Cap Explanation[/glow] The cap that applies to Primary and Secondary defenses (125) is not applied until after pre-ceeding combat calculations such as states and associated defenses take place, vs before where it was applied much earlier in previous publishes. For example, if you have Melee Defense of 155 through template skills and +25 from SEA ma…

Assembly And Experimentation
by eqsanctum- 1 follower

Crafting, how amazing success works for both assembly and experimentation, and how to avoid critical fails City bonus and chef food/drink make a difference in determining if you get an "amazing success" or not. In fact, they are the only bonuses you get to the roll for determining an "amazing". In both Assembly and Experimentation, there is an initial roll to determine if you get an "amazing" or a "critical failure" this is often called the "Luck Roll". A random number is generated from 1-100. If it is >95 then you get an "amazing", if it is <5 you get a "critical failure" In Assembly, you get a bonus of +10 if you are in a Manufacturing Center and the value o…

[align=center]Lunariel's Guide to Resource Caps [/align] (As originally posted in 2005) Every weaponsmith knows that conductivity on Plumbum Iron is horrible, never exceeding two digits. The reason is that Iron has 8 subclasses. In fact, they are just like radioactive and petrochemicals, just with a more fancy name. So Plumbum is really Iron Class 1. And for most of the resource types with subclasses, the stats are capped within a limited range depending on the class. The formula is simply to divide the base range by the number of subclasses and then extend the resulting range by 30% in each direction like this: MinCap = ROUND(MAX(BaseMin,BaseMin+(ClassLevel-1…

Table of Contents Introduction Terms Usage Slash Command Shortcuts Chaining macros and recursion Character Login Useful commands [updated as need arises] Introduction When the player database is wiped – all of us will have to start over. In the interest of lessening the pain I offer the following guide on /alias commands – which will make character rebirth much easier. Alias commands are often thought of as a form of macro commands in SWG. While this is not precisely true knowledge of macro commands is essential in understanding much of what is possible with aliases. There are many posts on macros and lists of all the slash commands th…

2. What race should I choose? This is one of the most frequently asked questions on the forums. The answer really comes down to personal choice (especially if you are a role-player). All of the races have positive and negative aspects, and you will find on these forums that there are TK Masters in every possible race. If you want to play as a Twi'lek, don't let the starting racial bonuses force you into playing a Trandoshan. Also keep in mind that if you plan on joining the Imperial side of the Galactic Civil War, that all non-human races suffer faction point penalties. Here are some details on the races (note t…

[glow=red]How Power Works[/glow] [glow=green]Use[/glow] Energy is needed for power factories and harvesters. While every structure consumes credits in maintenance, power is only consumed while the factory or harvester is operating The stat that matters for power generation is Potential Energy or PE [glow=green]What is NOT power[/glow] “Solid Petrochem Fuel” Weaponsmiths and Droid Engineers have use for it “Liquid Petrochem Fuel” is not power. Combat Medics use this for poisons, and Class 2/4 are used by Doctors for buffs The Bazaar adds to the confusion since Gas is listed as a form of ‘energy’ though nothing in the title of reac…

The Unofficial ULTIMATE Strategy Guide!!!!! Introduction: The following is a near complete strategy guide for the Massively Multiplayer, Online Role-Playing Game, Star Wars Galaxies, the game I've played and loved/hated since about a month after it's public release. I've been utterly and unavoidably hooked ever since. I've unlocked 3 Jedi Force Sensitive Character Slots since then, and mastered over 60 total professions. Some I mastered more than once of course since there are only 33 total professions in the game. I'm a die-hard student of efficiency and speed, what you're about to read is a complete compilation of all the tricks and strategies I've used. All my secr…
