Originally posted by Centaurius. Reposted by NarfBlinko. Centaur’s Space Loot "Keep or Ditch" Guide Many times I hear people that really want to get into space so they start on their path grinding and then I hear them asking what to do with all their loot. They don’t want to destroy it or sell it in case they have good loot but yet they can’t keep it because it is quickly overwhelming their inventory. They really don’t have any idea what to keep or get rid of, so I have re-created this guide which has helped guide me on those decisions. This is a re-compilation of an excellent guide written by KaylBreinhar on 06 June 2005 which has been lost to the ages (unless s…

Original Rebel list compiled by Kaiyn. Prototype snubfighters with experimental gear poured into Kessel. Untested A-wing and B-wing models engage the Imperial pursuers, determined to not let valuable new equipment fall into enemy hands... There exists a subcategory of high-end loot--all level 9 and 10--that apparently only drops while Kessel is in the Switched mode. I got a wild hair the other night. I've always been Pro crafted boosters as I have always felt they are better than RE'ed. For the most part I know the arguments for and against crafted and the arguments for and against RE'ed. Too boil the arguments down, it goes like this, Crafted boosters are faster while RE'ed boosters burn longer. I know this is really simplifying the arguments but i'd be willing to bet most will agree with that over-simplification of the booster arguments. Ok, so I set out to prove, beyone any doubt, crafted boosters can and are better than RE'ed. The tough thing I've found is how to really rate a booster. Do you simply look at the burn ti…

I did a very simple test, sparked by a conversation on sfc. Made a group which contained only a .380 refire gun. Used the stopwatch on my mobile phone. Made a 2nd group with a .370 refire gun, used the same stopwatch. Result on the 1st group: 30.4 seconds, 60 shots Result on the 2nd group: 30.3 seconds, 62 shots Result on the 1st group while squeezing trigger as fast as I could in 30 seconds, 48 shots Result on the 2nd group while squeezing trigger as fast as I could in 30 seconds, 51 shots Our normal calculated amount of shots for 1st group: 30 seconds, 78.9 shots Our normal calculated amount of shots for 2nd group: 30 seconds, 81 shots B…

I know this was reposted already, but that was the older version. Here is the latest version that was available before we switched to the new forum. If R-D ever gets out from under TCPrime, he can repost and I'll nuke this. Been a while since the original of this was posted, with Restuss now giving a nice renewal to mining (and a couple of people ripping off the old version) I feel it is time for a revised version (and the old one is locked, so I can't edit it). To start mining you need equipment, there are two essential items and one optional one. The essential kit is a mining laser and cargo hold, the optional item is a tractor beam. There are now three types …

From the Desk of an old Oppressor pilot.... There are two predominant loadouts that are commonly preferred by Oppressor pilots and several popular variations. The Oppressor is one of the few ships that has a viable crafted parts loadout that works very well in PVP. The TIE oppressor is a multi role starfighter. Many people consider it merely a missile boat, however this is very untrue and leads many people to underestimate the Oppressor's strengths. While the Oppressor is the only fighter in game to boast three missile tubes, it is a very capable gunship and extremely capable in the dogfight if properly kitted and flown. There are two main variations, a dog…
