I did a very simple test, sparked by a conversation on sfc.

Made a group which contained only a .380 refire gun. Used the stopwatch on my mobile phone.

Made a 2nd group with a .370 refire gun, used the same stopwatch.

Result on the 1st group: 30.4 seconds, 60 shots

Result on the 2nd group: 30.3 seconds, 62 shots

Result on the 1st group while squeezing trigger as fast as I could in 30 seconds, 48 shots

Result on the 2nd group while squeezing trigger as fast as I could in 30 seconds, 51 shots

Our normal calculated amount of shots for 1st group: 30 seconds, 78.9 shots

Our normal calculated amount of shots for 2nd group: 30 seconds, 81 shots

Both cases, 19 shots less. Both guns had 13.4 EPS, running WO4, so that was 19 x (13.4 x 5) = 1273 less cap drain in 30 seconds.

4 guns, each 13.4 eps, 2x .380, 1x .370 and 1x .390 refire. Capacitor with 1835.6 energy and 59.2 recharge.

Calculated time for cap to empty, unoverloaded, 38.2 seconds.

Calculated time for cap to empty with CO4 and WO4, 8.7 seconds. (Both calculations using 0.76/refire for the cap drain per second on the guns)

Observed time to empty, unoverloaded: 39 seconds, couldn't really get a ka-thunk, recharge to high on the cap, cap was below 100 energy left.

Observed time to empty, overloaded: 9.11 seconds, stopped on the ka-thunk.

Normal calculated time for cap to empty, unoverloaded: 22.4 seconds

Normal calculated time for cap to empty, overloaded: 6.25 seconds

Conclusion: 0.76/refire will give you the actual refire of the guns, this impacts our damage calculations (negatively) and cap drain calculations (positively).
